BHC Auxilliary Starts a New Year - Board Annual Meeting 10/26/2016

The BHC Auxilliary had a banner year with its fundraising. We ended in Oct. with a $21,000 balance and allocated $4,600 toward remodeling one of the nursing home rooms. That included a $3,000 grant from Montana Community Foundation. The Auxilliary also allocated $5,000 toward new signage.

We welcomed a new president, Donna Harper, who we know will do a great job as our leader. At the same time we will miss our Jackie Kynett who so graciously led us for many years. We hope she will continue her tremendous involvement in the Auxilliary.

In addition to the new president, Donna, we also reelected Jeanne Randolph, secretary and Jan Hubber, treasurer at our Annual Meeting Oct. 11 at the Mint. We continue to solicit for new members and to continue putting on fundraisers that benefit the community. Those include the Rodeo Barbeque, the Leprechaun Festival and the Cookie Booth at Fall Fest. We would like to thank the hospital board members for their financial help and work helping during our fundraisers. We also would like to thank Townsend Rotary and the Rural Fire Department members.

Our focus will lean toward building partnerships with other nonprofits in the community and grant writing. We are currently working on three different grant applications.
