At Billings Clinic we have a dedicated team of nurses, supported by nurse leadership, that are committed to delivering high-quality, safe patient care. As a nurse, serving for over 35 years, I have appreciated the multitude of opportunities to work directly with patients and families, as well as professional nurses across the healthcare spectrum who are focused on nursing excellence and improving health outcomes. Learn more about CNO Shannon Holland
Shannon joined Billings Clinic as the Chief Nursing Officer in September 2022. An accomplished clinical nurse and leader with strong Montana roots, Shannon raised her family and spent much of her career in Butte. Prior to working at Billings Clinic, Shannon served as the Chief Nursing Executive and Chief Operating Officer at Multicare Valley Hospital in Spokane, WA. Prior to that, she worked in a variety of nursing roles in Butte for 28 years, including many years at St. James Healthcare where she spent a decade as a staff nurse before moving into leadership roles, eventually serving as Vice President of Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer.
Shannon brings a passion for nursing excellence and the education and development of nurses, both at the bedside and as nurse leaders. This includes an emphasis on creating and maintaining a clinician-focused environment that supports professional nursing practice, quality and safety.
Outside of work, Shannon and her husband, Max, spend time with their two grown children, their young grandson and their four Labrador retrievers. They also enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking and cross-country skiing.
