Barbara Kirscher passed away on May 25, 2016, and the Broadwater Com-munity Health Foundation (BCHF) established a “Barb Kirscher Memorial Education Fund” in her honor. A garage sale was held on August 19-20 to benefit the fund and $2,217.77 was raised in just two days. The majority of the funds were items sold at the sale but $202 was earned from items that were raffled.
Direct Access Testing (DAT) is a service offered by Broad-water Health Center (BHC). DAT allows you to order your own lab tests without a doctor’s order. It’s convenient, affordable and fits into busy lifestyles and schedules.
The Activities and Social Services Departments at the hospital are in the process of putting together a Music Memory Program for the Broadwater Health Center (BHC) nursing home patients. Research shows that music has the ability to elevate mood, decrease anxiety, improve sleep quality and reduce pain.
Broadwater Health Center (BHC) staff participate in continuing education classes to hone their skills and learn new techniques and methods to improve patient care. Recently they participated in classes involving pediatric and Emergency Department (ED) patient care.
The Broadwater Community Health Foundation is a non-profit 501C(3) foundation, which began in 1989, with the purpose of supporting high quality local medical services for the citizens of the community and Broadwater County.
It is our mission to promote and further the operations of the Broadwater Health Center and support other county healthcare needs by providing high quality medical care and treatment. We accomplish this by encouraging community support and financial contributions to promote the good health of the community and Broadwater County.
