ShoutOut to the BHC Dietary Department

BHC dietary department provides nutritious, attractive, and palatable food to patients, staff, and visitors, while maintaining high standards of sanitation, production, and service to all customers. Eight employees, including a manager and one Registered Dietitian serve an average of 25,000 meals a year to patients and cater an additional 325 special functions and meetings. The Registered Dietitian not only ensures that nutritional needs are being met, but also that patients receive proper nutrition counseling if necessary.

We are proud that every dietary staff is offered continued education and holds a Servsafe certification. Temperature testing is done with every meal and tray testing is done for quality assurance reporting.  Serebrena Short, the dietary manager, and her staff have done an excellent job achieving consecutive deficiency-free state surveys year after year.
